A new Head Start/preschool year is upon us, and once again, we have the opportunity as educators (and parents!) to offer high quality learning experiences for children.
Consider the following…
7 Tips for Creating Quality Experiences for Young Children:
- Focus on play
- Allow for repetition of skills
- Keep things relevant to children’s interests
- Keep culture in mind
- Vary scenarios & play props to extend the play and learning
- Broaden your classroom walls — use your outdoor play space as much as possible
- Integrate music and movement across your curriculum
