  1. Saturday, September 25th is Nature Rocks Day! Make time to get moving and connect with nature.
  2. @EduKidsInc is talking about Playground Politics in Early Childhood Education.
  3. Spend some time in an amazing Swedish Preschool, where play, time outdoors in nature, and movement is fully embraced. (Video)

Thanks for sharing such a great list Bethe – it just shows that you don’t have to spend a fortune to enhance your outdoor playspace (thankfully!). A bean teepee and sunflower house (although I think ours will be more of a sunflower tunnel) are high on the agenda when we get back to school this term. I tried the teepee a few weeks ago, but the bamboo posts were too short and there wasn’t enough space for even one child to fit comfortably. Now I see I need 6ft poles, so off to the nursery I will go.
